Richmond Orchestra (charitable status) rely on member subscription and public grants to fund local community concerts. Since 2007 Richmond Orchestra have been organising Play-In joint charity fundraising concerts with the East Sheen Macmillan Cancer Support branch. Our next Play-In Concert 24 Feb18

Story

On Saturday 18th May 2013, Richmond Orchestra will be performing a non-stop play-in concert at Sheen Lane Centre, 11:00-15:30. Do come along to listen - entry is free, donations are welcome.

This will be be the orchestra's third play-in in conjunction with the East Sheen committee of Macmillan Cancer Support. Volunteers will once again be singing, conducting, and playing solos with the orchestra, providing an entertaining and light hearted way to raise money. The proceeds will be divided equally between MacMillan Cancer Support and Richmond Orchestra.

Music to include: the finale to Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, Schumann's piano concerto, flute concertos by Mozart, a bassoon romance by Elgar plus his Serenade for strings, Mozart's piano concerto no.23 , songs by Roger Quilter, Rossini and Mozart, Beethoven's Triple Concerto (first movement) and the first movement of his 1st piano concerto, a concerto for piano and violin by Mendelssohn, the last movement of Haydn's Farewell Symphony and Dvorak's Slavonic Dances.
