Story

From the 2nd to the 3rd of June I am doing the "Everesting" Challenge. The challenge involves cycling the vertical ascent of Mount Everest (8,848 metres). Basically......I pick a hill and cycle up and down it until I have climbed 8,848 metres. In this case I am using the climb out of Castle Combe, and in order to complete this I'm going to have to complete about 190 repetitions. My body and sanity are going to be severely tested!!

I estimate that this challenge will take me anywhere between 15-24hrs depending on weather conditions. I'm starting on the hill at 12am and hoping to be finished by 4pm.

Cycle, run or just come and cheer me on as I attempt what seems like the impossible!

I am undertaking the challenge to raise money for St. Andrew's Church - Make History Appeal. This is the largest project the church has undertaken for over a Hundred and Sixty years, by installing running water - and toilet, plus a major enhancement of The Knight Chapel - the most historic part of this beautiful church. With these improvements and restoration the church can be used for community-led projects and will become an important educational sight for the local community.
