We fund vital research into neuroblastoma to find new and better treatments

Story

Thank you for visiting my RideForLily JustGiving page, raising money for The Neuroblastoma Society (NSOC) in memory of my niece, Lily Gray.

Neuroblastoma is an aggresive form of cancer which mainly effects young children aged under 5 years old.  It is particularly difficult to treat with current treatments (mainly chemotherapy).

Lily sadly lost her brave battle against neuroblastoma on September 19 2013, aged just 27 months.  She battled so hard not to let cancer beat her during her short time with us and left an indelible mark on our lives and in our hearts.

With so many people and organisations helping support Lily and her family during her battle against neuroblastoma I felt it was important to give something back and support the ongoing work to help find a cure for neuroblastoma.  I will therefore be cycling the Cols of the Tour-de-France between 26th-28th June 2015 in aid of The Neuroblastoma Society.

The Neuroblastoma Society conduct essential work to help find a cure for neuroblastoma, as well as offering support and information for effected families.  In supporting the NSOC you will be helping young children and their families who find their lives turned upside down by this cancer.

The cycle route will cover many of the classic mountain Cols of the French Alps, including the Col de la Madeliene, the Col du Galibier and the infamous Alpe d'Huez covered by the Tour de-France.  The ride includes over 24,500 feet of climbing over 3 days of cycling and is going to be a serious challenge - especally for somebody living in 'very flat', Norfolk.  But no matter how hard, it will not be as tough as battling neuroblastoma, which Lily had to do!

You can view details of the ride under Discover Adventure's 'Classic Cols of the Tour' page and on Twitter which I plan to keep updated with progress during the ride: twitter.com/RideForLily
. Thanks to Onestop Webshop for supporting me on this ride.

Please consider making a donation.  You will be helping to find a cure for neuroblastoma, which Lily fought so hard to beat.

Thank You.
