Story
This will be my second marathon, ran for a cause very close to my heart. My first (Paris 2015) was ran less than a year after a rather nasty, protracted stint in hospital, and the event itself was one of the most humanising and restorative things I've ever done. Running really does - both literally, and figuratively - make your heart bigger.
The work that Mind does for what is often a maligned issue truly is invaluable. The Athens marathon is the "original" marathon, following the course of the very legend from which the race got its name. Roughly half (20km) of the course is uphill, featuring the toughest uphill climb of any major marathon. In short: I'm going to need all the motivation I can get, and luckily for me, this is a hugely motivating cause. Any amount you can donate will be warmly welcomed, and will make a difference; thank you so much in advance.
