Dear friends and loved one,
To celebrate my surviving so long. I'm donating my 911 birthday to "Save the Children" this year!
One of the things I discovered as I am going through my 34 years experience is that I am blessed with an amazing circle of family and friends. I saw this over and over as people came out to offer love and support.
In the contrary, with the conflict in Syria wages on, millions of children inside Syria and across the region are witnessing their past and their futures disappear amidst the rubble and destruction of this prolonged conflict. We must rescue them from the brink, for their sake and for the sake of Syria in future generations. As a capable and fortunate human with you all, I have decided to spend my birthday raising funds to help.
How your donation can help?
1) to keeping Syrian children from becoming a ‘lost generation’.
2) nutritious food, warm clothes and critical supplies such as diapers, soap, and other items to help keep young children healthy.
3) future of children, through education and child protection.
I am hoping to raise HK$9,110.00 for "Save the Children", and I need your help to get my wish come true. If you are not able to make a donation, I would be grateful if you sent this letter to friends, family, or co-workers that might be interested in helping me to reach my goal to provide assistance to children.
There are several ways you can donate. The easiest way is to click on the "Donate" button on my page (right side) and make a donation online.
If you want to make a donation by cheque, you can send directly to me (please let me know and I will give you the details).
Cash works, too – let me know if you want to make a cash donation and I will provide you with a donation envelope.
Once you donate, JustGiving (this web agent) will send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this letter and for any donation or assistance that you can give me in reaching my goal. Feel free to call me, text me, or email me with any questions you might have. I am so happy to be able to dedicate my birthday to raising funds for them this year!
Cheers,
Rita
