We brighten the lives of seriously ill young people by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Our wishes are as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a fireman, meet a real-life mermaid or even the Loch Ness Monster, we work hard to make that wish come true.

Story

Thanks for taking the time visit my JustGiving page and supporting Rays of Sunshine.

At 20wks of pregancy we knew that Lottie was going to have complications with her kidneys. From birth she suffered significant urinary inections and received numerous interventions during emergency stays in hospital. At the age of 6mths she had an operation to try and correct the problems (ureterocele and hydronephrosis), but this wasn't a success.

Just before Lottie's second birthday, she had an acute infection which led to septicaemia and subsequently having her left kidney removed. Throughout this entire time she was supported by the Children's Play Specialists at Ipswich Hospital, who are amazing!

Due to the difficult times and the level of intervention Lottie recieved, she was recommended to Rays of Sunshine to have some extra special experiences (see photos). These experiences (a stay at Centre Parcs, meeting Dr Chris and Dr Xand and fabulous Christmas Parties) have really helped not only Lottie but Harry too.

Today, Lottie is doing really well. She has Renal Kidney Disease and is now just reviewed on a yearly basis.

We are so thankful for the team at Rays of Sunshine for the positive experiences we have had as a family. I just wanted to raise some money for them by cycling 100miles....
