Story

Rob Berry tragically died after finishing the London Marathon on 13th April 2014 aged 42.

Rob was a loving husband, father, brother and son. His family are incredibly proud of him - for who he was and what he achieved, not only by running the marathon, but throughout his life.

The family of Rob Berry would like to say a huge thank you to the thousands of people who have donated to Rob's chosen charity via this page.

We are overwhelmed by people’s generosity and are very touched by the lovely comments and kind words that have been written by many friends, associates and - in many cases - complete strangers who have sent heartfelt messages and donated in Rob’s memory.

We thank you again for all your support at this very sad and difficult time.

The Berry Family – July 2014

Rob's original message on this page:

"Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running the London Marathon in support of the National Osteoporosis Society for the support given to my mother who was diagnosed with Osteoporosis at the age of 52 but whose current condition (we found out later) was triggered from a lifting incident at the age of 47. Because of the stress on her lower back, two sets of bones in her lower spine collapsed. You can find out more about my mum by visiting Rob's website where you can also see how I am progressing with my training.

Please support me in this cause and donate generously. Thank you. "
