Story

Myself and my brother in law Aiden Kane have decided to do the Derry marathon together , the full 26.2 miles. This will be my first marathon and Aiden's 2nd. We began our training back in November and are now about to hit our big miles of 18 and upwards, so as we run and talk a lot we decided that we would like to make this effort for a worthwhile cause and we promptly agreed the Children's cancer charity 'Clic Sargeant'  and in particular the fund 'In Memory of Caolan Mc Crossan' .Having coached Caolan as a young gaelic footballer for our Club Doire Colmcille we have all taken inspiration from his bravery when he was so sick, and we witnessed first hand the value of Clic Sargeant to Caolan and his family. As a club we still have parents at present who are dependent on the help and support of this Charity so we hope to raise as much as we can to help Clic Sargeant provide their support.
