Story
I started running 2 years ago during lockdown 1 and fell in love with it. It’s helped my physical health but more importantly my mental health. I’ve pushed myself and the great north run will be my third half marathon.
I wasn’t planning on fundraising this year. However after the tragic loss of one of the pillar of Widnes Running Club, Chris Lam. I decided to rise money for CALM. Chris was the heart and soul of any group he was in, it’s proof that you can never know what someone is going through. Along with CALM I want to help people struggling with mental health. If anyone would like to help, any donations would be greatly welcome.
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about lifes problems.
