Our good friend Gordon Cowan passed away from cancer age 25 . Over the years a group of friends played for a golf trophy in Gordon's memory we decided to start raising money in his memory for The Beatson Cancer Charity  . 

We are now in year 17 of fundraising and have raised the incredibly proud sum of £416,987all going to The Beatson Cancer Charity at Gordon's family's request in our home town of Lanark 

Gordon was a Motherwell FC season ticket holder , a keen golfer , a qualified referee and we grew up together playing boys football for Kirkfield Utd boys club 

More importantly Gordon was a 6'5" gentle giant , son and brother and great friend 

When Gordon passed away 25 years ago Mrs Cowan didn't want anyone to forget Gordon. Gordon's legacy lives on via charity golf days , summer balls , Christmas charity ball , sponsored walks and snow angels helping less fortunate people in The Beatson
