Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Not content with planning a wedding this year, on 27 April 2019, Robert and I will be taking on the mighty Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in the Yorkshire Dales National Park to raise money for Dementia UK. Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support, including one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions, for people with dementia and their families through their Admiral Nurse service.

Our challenge is to hike a circular route of 24 miles (38.6km) and ascend and descend the three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough (an incredible 1,585m/5,200ft of ascent) all in under 12 hours!
