THE COTSWOLD WAY CHALLENGE

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Between the 12th and 16th July a group of eight intrepid walkers from Norwich Round Table No.1 and Norwich 41 Club will be tackling the Cotswold Way.

The Cotswold Way is a 102 mile trail running from Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire to Bath in Somerset.  Our aim is to walk it in 4½ days which means covering nearly 23 miles a day.

Whilst its name may make it sound like an idyllic stroll through middle England, the total ascent over the course of the route is almost 13,000 ft. That's not far off some of the highest peaks in Europe, and substantially more than the total height of the three highest peaks in the UK.

Our aim is to help raise £5,000 for the Big C Appeal which is Norwich Round Table No.1’s nominated charity for 2011/2012.

This is our fourth “annual challenge” and follows on from our previous successful challenges starting with the Three Peaks in 2007, the Coast to Coast bike ride and most recently walking the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall.

Please support us and the Big C Appeal.  Any contribution, large or small, will be greatly appreciated.

Those taking on the challenge are Daren Moore, Keith Spurway, Andy Mulligan, Stephen Green, Warren Farrow, Robert Pyke, Paul Briddon and Neil Edwards
