Story

Our story

125 miles long and completed in 24 hours the DW is the longest non-stop kayak race in the world - It was a crazy suggestion that "seemed a good idea" at the time!

During Easter weekend (15th-16th April 2017) when most of you will be enjoying Easter Eggs and Sunday dinners Alan and Andy will be giving the race their best shot to support the very worthy cause of Macmillan Cancer.

Macmillan Cancer support is a charity we all hold close to our hearts. The charity is particularly important to Alan, whose mum sadly passed away in 2013 after losing her battle to cancer. The care she received through Macmillan at The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre was exceptional and highlighted to Alan the importance of the charity in supporting those affected by the disease.

Sponsorship
