Rob and I would like to raise money for Action for Stammering Children to say thank you to the charity for their continuing help to our lovely nephew, Thomas, who has had a stammer for a number of years. ASC have been amazing in helping Thomas to cope and improve on his speech. This summer, Thomas recently underwent a two week intensive course to help him through meeting similar children, build his confidence and giving him strategies and coping mechanisms. During this course, he stayed with us for a few days and it was lovely hearing him talking all about it and feel far more comfortable with his stammer. But I think the best thing for us was at Christmas when I said to him how his speech has improved and I asked him how he felt about it... well his smile (which we can still picture) said it all. So please help us bring this feeling of pleasure of happiness to other children who struggle to come to terms with their stammers. It really it a massive thing to watch a child be relaxed and smile when they speak. Thank you very much.
