The big day was supposed to be today, but after 4 hours of waiting the cloud has finally won we re not jumping today. September 15th is d day 2!!

Thanks to Jo on reception for single handedly collaring enough people today to raise £265 worth of sponsorship!!! Although I am a little worried about their motivation!!!?

Last year one of the students in my school asked if it would be ok to raise money for Bluebell Wood Hospice as she had recently lost her cousin, but was so thankful that he spent his last weeks at the hospice, who had provided such good care and support for him and his family. This was her way of saying thank you.

The girls raised approx. £400 as a result of their efforts which was fantatsic. But before they could do this we paid the hospice a visit and spoke with Andrea who showed us round and explained how they get NO government funding for their operation and a huge 10 million pounds had to be raised in the first instance for the hospice to become a reality, and then a further 2.4million raised EVERY year in order to continue the great work they are doing there.

So now Im doing my bit by throwing myself out of a plane with 20 other people strapped to what I hope is a very experienced, competent, safe and excellent parachute packing instructor! Wills are signed and updated, insurance to be investigated and nerves to be addressed on the day!!!
