We work in disadvantaged communities to improve literacy skills and life chances

Story

On Sunday 15 March 2020, I am putting my best foot forward in the name of literacy at the Where's Wally? fun run! I am a Reading Leader at my School, so this means a lot to me!

Did you know that in the UK, one in eight disadvantaged children don't own a single book, and that in the UK's poorest communities one person in three has literacy problems?

The National Literacy Trust is an independent charity that empowers children and adults in the UK by giving them the literacy skills they need to do well in life. This can be as simple as providing disadvantaged children with their very first book to choose and keep, to running education based holiday programmes and skills workshops for adults and children in some of the most deprived areas of the UK.

Every penny that you donate will make a real difference and will help to me get to the finish line, so please dig deep and sponsor me, no matter how much you sponsor me I will be so grateful!

Thank you,

Rohan
