''Ronnie died following an accident at work on the 15th September 2009 when a piece of equipment fell on him causing a massive head injury.  He was one of the most amazing people you could ever meet, to us he was a husband, dad, grandad and great grandad.  Our hero and our rock....he was there for us no matter what.

To many he was a friend, he touched the hearts of people both young and old, a very social kind of bloke...many would say he was a legend.

Ronnie had so many interests including drawing, painting, collecting model vintage cars, reading and at the end of a hard day a pint in the pub before going home to settle in front of the telly.

In Ronnie's memory we are fundraising for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who transferred him to the Hull Royal Infirmary.  The YAA do the most amazing job and its down to their service that many people lives are saved.  Ronnie was at the hospital within approx 90 minutes of the accident happening...this time includes the care he recieved from work collegues and the ambulance service.

We will be eternally grateful to those work collegues, the Pocklington and YAA ambulance crew and also the staff at Hull Royal Infirmary''

We love you and miss you more than words can say, rest in peace...All our love Gwen, Emma & Steve, Donna, Marie, Laura, Rebeka, Bethany and your two little shadows Billy & Cameron xxx
