Story
The Fortitude team aim to raise a huge £250,000 which will fund a new support service to help people with Mental health issues and Financial difficulties. I have committed to raising £2,500 through lots of exciting fundraising initiatives over the next few months.
The challenge is four days and set to test our mental and physical resolve.
Day One: Will test our mental agility with rumours that if we solve the puzzle we will win useful prizes for the day ahead.
Day Two: Involves a hike to the highest peak. As part of the England team I will be climbing over 3,000 feet up Scafell Pike.
Day Three: Will take us cycling 100 miles over the steep hills in the Peak District.
Day Four: Requires us to run, walk or crawl the half marathon from Solihull Training Centre to Birmingham City Centre where we will cross the finish line!
Birmingham is an extra special location for the finish line as it will be where the Mental Health and Money Advice Service will be created and the physical space where the funds raised will go to support those with Mental health issues and Financial difficulties.
£10 could allow an advice worker to answer a call from someone in desperate need of advice and support with their mental health and money problems.
£20 could help the charity establish and maintain unique and new online resources, so people can get advice on mental health and money 24 hours a day
£100 could help train an advice worker to provide one-to-one support.
£500 could help fund 3 advice workers for a day, providing people with the tools to support them and take their first steps to managing their mental health and money.
£1,500 could fund an advice worker for 2 weeks, helping the charity to answer calls from people often in desperate need of support, helping them to find a way forward.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help me towards reaching my goal. Thank you!
