Hello! This summer I'm riding 800km (!!!) from Dubrovnik (Croatia) to Thessaloniki (Greece), passing through Montenegro, Albania, and Macedonia in 7 days (hopefully) with Thighs of Steel.

We are raising money for Mass Action, whose mission is to support grassroots projects that provide dignified and sustainable initiatives for migrants and asylum seekers. They also aim to increase awareness of the social, economic, political and ecological factors which cause migration thereby challenging negative public perceptions on the movement of people.

This is particularly important now, when the UK are introducing increasingly fascist anti-migrant policies, such as the ban on asylum, and the deportation of refugees to Rwanda (also noting the profile of the refugees affected by these policies and the difference in how Ukrainians were treated).

I am also personally passionate about increasing the visibility of women in cycling.

I have paid the participation and travel costs (which includes a van that carries our grubby pants so we don't have to tie them to our bikes to dry as we did in the Alps - see dorky cycling photo numbner 3...). Therefore the full amount of your donation will be distributed by MASS Action to grassroots projects that support refugees in the UK, Greece and beyond. That means every penny counts so don't forget to aid Gift Aid if you're eligible.
