Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In August I will be cycling the London to Surrey 100 mile race in memory of my friend Paul's little girl. This will hopefully be the first of many cycling events we do in aid of Great Ormond St Children's hospital, who looked after brave little Olive.
Paul's words tell Olive's story here:
Olive’s story. Our beautiful daughter Olive was born on 7th June 2014 with a very complex heart condition, sadly too complex even for the team at Great Ormond Street Hospital to fix. After two 9-hour open-heart procedures in the space of a week, and another week of being fully supported on ECMO, our brave little girl passed away in our arms on 22nd July 2014, only 6 weeks after she was born. Funding research and equipment at GOSH will hopefully ensure that the identifying and treatment of babies with heart diseases or defects have the best chances of survival possible.
