Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. We receive no government funding for our daily missions. Your support keeps us flying.

Story

On the 1st April 2017 I was involved in a horrific RTA.  My injuries meant that I had a life expectancy of approximately 45 minutes, I had been lying on the road nearly 40 minutes when the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance landed and their expert team and onboard doctor treated me and the took me from the side of the road to Birmingham Children's hospital in less than 8 minutes.

It is unquestionable, the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance saved my life and without them I may never have made it to my 12th Birthday.

Two years ago I thought I would never ride a bike again, but now I swim, dance and ride my bike without any trouble and that is thanks to the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Birmingham Children's Hospital.

So, this year, to mark the anniversary of my accident I will be cycling 70km to raise money for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.

70km is relevant because this is the journey distance it would have been if I had been transported by road a journey I may not have survived.

Please think that every mission flown by the air ambulance costs £1,700 and these are 100% charity funded with no government support at all.

I owe them everything and one day that could be you, so please give generously to keep this invaluable and life-saving service running and saving lives every day.

Thanks

Rosie
