Christmas Concert of Lessons and Carols · 19 December 2020

The Children's Trust faces the toughest challenge of its 36-year history. The cost of the Covid-19 crisis has hit us hard. We are asking our amazing supporters to help us continue to meet the complex needs of the children and families we care for.

Story

Join us on line from 19th December to enjoy a Christmas Concert of lessons and Carols performed by the  Langley Hall Primary Academy with Rotarian Claudio de Meo.

The Concert is free to view on line, but we would encourage you to make a donation to our nominated charity, the Childrens Trust.

We will send you a link to the You Tube Broadcast in due course.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. They deliver rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families. Approximately 40,000 children a year acquire a brain injury through an illness or accident.

Rehabilitation – After a severe brain injury, children are often unable to walk or talk. The Children’s Trust offer intensive rehabilitation placements at their specialist centre for children to re-learn these lost skills. Children stay on-site with one of their parents, so that they can be fully involved in their child’s recovery.

Community Services – Children who acquire a mild or moderate brain injury often experience physical and emotional difficulties after their illness or accident. The Children’s Trust have Brain Injury Community Specialists based at four major trauma centres around the UK, who work with the child, their families and schools to help them to overcome these difficulties.

Education – The Children’s Trust offer a specialist school and nursery for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities and extremely complex health needs. Many of these children require around the clock care and live on site in our residential accommodation.

Music is a fundamental tool in rehabilitation at The Children’s Trust. It is a great motivator and can be used to synchronise movements, provide a distraction from pain and anxiety and combat fatigue. Music therapy is completely voluntary funded, so by donating to this page you can help children with brain injury smile again through the gift of music. Thank you.
