Barry's Why17 rowing challenge

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Valentines day 2011 my daughter Angelina was stillborn. Like many people, I thought this was something that only happened in Victorian days and I was shocked to find out that every day in the UK 17 couples share that devastating loss we felt. The charity Sands funds research into the causes of stillbirth and runs support groups for people who have suffered a stillbirth or neonatal death and they really helped Sally and I feel brave enough to try again. You can find out alot more about what they do here: www.uk-sands.org
Sally has helped to re-form the Peterborough & Stamford Sands group to help support local people who have suffered a stillbirth and the money I hope to raise will be used in the local area. You can find out more here: www.sandspeterborough.co.uk
I have set myself the challenge of rowing a length of Peterborough rowing lake for every child lost each day - 17 km. Please support me - you might even want to row along with me. I am still fairly new to rowing (I started about a year ago) so it is still a challenge for me.
