Story
Matt Parratt, Mark Kerr and I are running a half-marathon this weekend over in Les Deux Alpes in the French Alps. However, it’s not just 20km (which for the record, we’re not sure we’ll be able to complete). It’s at night, it’s in -15C temperatures, at 2500m altitude, on snow and has an uphill of 700m. That’s the equivalent of about 4 i360s on top of each other, or 2 Empire State Buildings. All in all, it’s a big ask and one we are rightly nervous about.
To give us extra motivation, we would like to do it under the banner of the charity, Snowcamp. They take disadvantaged young people out to the Alps to teach them to ski and train them to be instructors. If you would like to see some photos of Matt sweating, Mark moaning and me swearing, then please donate whatever you can afford.
Thank you,
The Bald Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman
