Story
Hello. I'm Rufus. I'm 10 years old and live in Kent.
One of the few positive things to come out of the lockdown was getting out for BIG walks with my family and exploring the amazing views and (trecherous) hills of the Kent countryside. It's been lovely (if not exhausting) family time.
However I am aware that the last few months have been incredibly hard for many, and I know there are thousands of children out there who are not as lucky as me, and Coronavirus has only made their lives harder.
Over the last few weeks, we have walked parts of the famous Tunbridge Wells circular walk, but have never attempted (for obvious reasons) the full 27 miles around my home town.
Before I head back to school for my last year at St John's Primary School, I want to attempt to walk the whole thing; either in a single day, or across a weekend (I am only ten after all) and raise money for something I care very much about.
I have roped in my 7 year old sister (Clara) to walk the first half, my parents and some lovely Aunties who I don't think have realised quite what they have signed up for.
Please support us and our achy legs and more importantly the children who urgently need our help in these very difficult times.
