We are Team #RunNMCO, a group of colleagues working at North Manchester Care Organisation. We have organised for a team of staff and friends of NMGH to take part in the ‘It’s a Piece of Cake 10K run’ taking place on Saturday 4th May at Boggart Hole Clough. It’s one of our most local parks to the hospital and used often by many of us to run, walk and just take in some fresh air, so we thought it would be fantastic to join this organised event.

Running and indeed any form of exercising or socialising outside of the work environment can really help us to look after our own general health and mental wellbeing and we’d really love to see this event as an opportunity for our colleagues and friends to join in to gain similar benefits, either in the run event itself, run training sessions in the lead up to the event or on the day in supporting and cheering on Team #RunNMCO.

We are also taking opportunity to raise much needed funds for the Pennine Acute Hospitals Charity at North Manchester General Hospital that allows us to fund amenities for patients, visitors and staff that allocated NHS funds are unable to cover.
