The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) is farming’s oldest charity working across England and Wales. Our aim is that no-one from the farming community should face adversity alone. We provide tailored advice, access to counselling, practical and financial support, and so much more.

Story

Our team is made up of -

Ruth Bamford, Rob Barke, Kate Lee and Richard Freeman

and we are all Agricultural bank managers who are involved with
farmers daily. We thought we would take a walking challenge on for this great charity R.A.B.I whilst in lock down.

We have decided to collectively walk the miles that equates to
the coast to coast walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods bay, by completing 20 miles a day, (after work,) between us.

This is part of Barclays “make a difference day” were they will
match our fund raising effects.

R.A.B.I is a grant-making charity which helps farming people of all ages if they are in financial difficulty. Support is confidential and includes one-off or regular payments, funding for things like essential household items, disability equipment, relief farm staff, home-help and care costs.
