I am taking part in a 1.4 mile swim from Bournemouth to Boscombe Pier 4th July in order to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

This is quite a challenge for me and needless to say a little daunting.  Less than two years ago I could only swim breastroke and so its been a great opportunity to push my boundaries. 

I would like to dedicate this swim to my friend and colleague Chris Hutchinson, who sadly passed away in 2019.  We all still miss his warm smile in the office and his incredible talent for making you feel special.  

I have a few friends that I know want to give and so thats why I have set up this page.  The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
