Story
SKIN CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. I'm not after sympathy because what's happening to me doesn't define me. I'm still ME. If my post can cause even just one person to monitor their skin, look for changes to moles and go to the doctor early enough to catch it before it gets worse then I've achieved something. Mine started in my arm it's gone to my lungs and also my brain. I'm not an attention seeker but skin cancer is serious. I recently had gamma knife surgery on the five tumours in my brain. When life gives you lemons make lemonade! Better still step away from those lemons!!!
Ruth has now sadly lost her battle with melanoma. Her final wish was to support a charity that raises awareness and educates people how to recognise changes on the skin.
