Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

The Kelso family that I am running with are one of the most inspirational families I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. They have had so many things hit them throughout their life including their first son catching Meningococcal Septicaemia in 2006, and their youngest son Gabriel being born with Cystic Fibrosis. However, what is outstanding about this family is that they stand tall and find ways push through the pain and combat the illnesses that their children have, whether this is raising money to improve their quality of life or raising money to support foundations that research the illnesses.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust has helped Gabriel with his quality of life and supported his family through their times of need and,  if raising money for this charity can contribute in any way to eventually finding a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, then I couldn't think of a better way to spend my time than by supporting this family and on top of this, any other family that have to deal with this life-threatening illness on a daily basis.

Therefore, I am asking my friends and family to contribute as little or as much as they can to this cause so that collectively, our team can smash the £5000 target that we have set.
