Story

Thank you for supporting my TCS London Marathon journey with the British Heart Foundation.

I am running this marathon in memory of my dear mum Diane who was diagnosed with heart disease (HCM) at the age of 51. BHF supported treatments including a pacemaker, internal defibrillator, medication and countless consultant appointments to prolong my mums life following her diagnosis.

Sadly, on the 8th of December 2021, Covid eventually took my mother's life at the young age of 59. However had it not been for the expertise of all at St Bart's Hospital (London) and the extensive research and treatments established with help from the BHF, I believe she would have left us even earlier. I'm truly grateful that my family and I were able to experience more laughs and love with my mum during these years and owe that in no small part to all at the BHF.

With your donations, we're raising money for one of the most exciting fields of research - regenerative medicine. We're aiming to fund breakthroughs and find cutting edge new treatments for people living with heart disease. The race is on to heal hearts together. Donations to my page will be sent directly to the British Heart Foundation in a fast and secure way.

Thank you all for supporting me and the BHF.
