Story

So Ben, reece (my two brothers) and I are doing the great midlands fun run for the Michael Lewis foundation! I met Michael at the age of 11 at Barr Beacon School, through mutual interests in sport and music a friendship grew. A friendship that would see us go abroad, go to a festive, attend various sporting events and just hang out together as a group of lads. Michael was a good friend who would do anything for anyone! So for that reason Reece, Ben and I thought it was only right to raise money for his charity, not only because he was a close friend but because it’s a brilliant charity doing brilliant things! So please share this and raise some money!

The foundation was set up in memory of Michael who died age 20, his positive attitude towards life inspired many people and it was this drive that encouraged us to raise awareness and valuable funds to support people with type 1 diabetes. The ultimate goal is to find a cure but while the search goes on we will support educate and look to fund the technology advancements that can provide a better quality of life to all diabetics.Michael was type 1 diabetic since the age of 4 and died to a relatively rare complication DIB, #livelikemike
