Story

In 2005 I suffered a life changing motorcycle accident that left me paralysed. Being told I would never walk again at the age of 17 was one of the toughest days of my life. I spent 6 months in rehab adapting to my new life and continue to adapt more than 13 years on. Without the support of the Spinal Injuries Association back when I was at the spinal unit and in the years since my recovery would have been much harder. Their support in the early months in particular helped me realise I could still live a normal life.

There are an estimated 40,000 people living with spinal cord injury in the UK and each year around 1000 people are newly injured. The Spinal Injuries Association are an essential source of support for all of these people and their loved ones. For this reason I am going to be pushing the London Marathon and am asking for your support in raising £2500 for this fantastic cause.
