Story

Hey there guys and gals,

Most know who I am, some do not. I currently work full-time for Texas City Fire Dept. as a Firefighter/Licensed Paramedic and have been there for going on six years. In that timeframe I have picked up a huge love, and that is cycling. It is relaxing, soothing, and exhilarating all in the same. So with my career and my absolute love of cycling, I have wanted to help give back and also raise awareness. This does both, and it is for fantastic organization.

With that said, I have been selected to ride in, The Texas Brotherhood Ride, which  consists of Firefighters, Police Officers and EMS personnel who ride bicycles to honor emergency responders who died in the line of duty. Our mission is to provide emotional and financial support to their families and co-workers. This year we will be honoring 14 who paid the ultimate sacrifice over 8 days and more than 650 miles, averaging 80-100 miles each day. Their names are:

Loren Y. Vasquez - Waller County SO, Raymond Bradley Jimmerson - Nacogdoches County, SOM.V. Hudson - New London VFD, Earl James "Jamie" Givens III - Dallas PD, Rogelio Santander, Jr. - Dallas PD, Paul Scott Ragsdale - US DOJ - ATF, David Charles Sherrard - Richardson PD, Garrett Willis Hull - Fort Worth PD, Andy Loller - Weatherford FD, Caleb Scott - North Richland Hills FD, Damon Charles Allen - Texas DPS, K9 Pastor - Waco PD, Charles Whites - Round Rock PD, Devon Coney - Austin FD.

One of the best things that you can do is share this and help me reach what I am hoping to obtain. That is to raise every dollar that we can to help out those that made the supreme sacrifice.

Best,

Ryan
