Story
2 Years ago my dad was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Parkinson's Disease with Lewy Body Dementia (LBD).
His physical and mental decline has been steadily progressive and it is very hard for all his family, especially my mum, who is his main carer, to watch and manage on a daily basis.
Without research and new medications, realistically at this point there is no hope of any improvement, and short term prognosis is not good.
This will not be an easy challenge for me, 100 miles on a mountain bike in one day, with 50% plus being off road. However if I can raise my target of £1,500, or hopefully more, to help the Best Man I know, and other sufferers like him it will be worth all the training and pain over the next couple of months.
I know that you all donate to Charities close to your heart every year, but if you could spare even an extra £1 for Parkinson's UK I know it would be greatly appreciated.
