Event: Steps 4 Stephen : Darbs Goes Home, on 29 August 2020

Story

In 2020, we had five major walks planned for the Foundation but this is now not possible due to COVID-19. Instead we are walking the virtual journey between Bradford City to Liverpool via Rochdale and Bolton Wanderers. This is symbolic of a journey from Th club where Stephen Darby, co-founder of the charity, enjoyed many years as club skipper to Liverpool where he began his career.

The walk has been broken down into many stages, most of 5 miles in length. To symbolise that journey, many walkers are completing 5 mile stages all around te world in London, Glasgow, Atlanta, Liverpool, Wakefield, Edinburgh, Bolton, Halifax and many more places. These walks have been timed to fit a schedule of Bradford to Bolton on Saturday August 29 and Bolton to Liverpool on Saturday August 30.

All donations are hugely appreciated at this difficult time for everyone. The Foundation is looking to support people facing the challenge of MND, raise awareness of the awful disease and fund research into a cure. Stephen Darby and Chris Rimmer are grateful for your support.

More information on the event can be found at www.redwoodevents.co.uk.

Many thanks
