I am inviting to all Jewellery Makers to get involved to raise money for the Poppy Appeal. Make poppies and/or jewellery please donate you time (and materials if you can) and create a poppy/jewellery. Donate all money raise in the selling of your poppy/jewellery to our page. Guideline to what you can make are below:

How to raise the money

All items
create must be either donated to the Royal British Legion for their own raffles
and auctions to raise money from their supporters at RBL events. Contact :  Christine Cobbold ccobbold@britishlegion.org.uk who will point you to the relevant Community
Fundraiser in your area.

Or

You can
donate the jewellery to your own raffle in store, online etc. Where you can
sell raffle tickets or allow customers to enter for a suggested donation for
the item of jewellery. You can state a goal or expected amount you hope to
raise for the item then all proceeds to be donated to the RBL via the SBJ’s

If you create your own raffle please tag The Society of
British Jewellers or myself in your social media posts and I will share as many
as I can to help raise awareness by sharing your posts in the SBJ’s social
media pages.

BUT

Items may not be sold at a fixed price as vat must then be
added and this gets complicated for everyone involved.

What you can make!

You cannot make a two-petal poppy (ie don’t copy the RBL
poppy design create your own design).

or

You don’t have to create a poppy it can be any item of
jewellery maybe your own range that can be donated or included in your raffle.

Please share your images with us via social media and we will share as many of your posts as possible to sell the poppies you make.
