Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become a British institution. It’s a time when people across the country get together and fundraise at home, school and work to support people living incredibly tough lives, and has raised over £1.3 billion to date.

Story

Phil Aspden, Commercial Director of Outside Broadcast company SIS LIVE came in to work this Friday morning to discover his colleagues had given his car a slight makeover in aid of Comic Relief. His usually sleek, black Audi A5 Coupe was bright pink, with red nose logos and a slogan reading ‘Tickled pink for Comic Relief’ emblazoned across the windscreen.

Managing director David Meynell says “The genesis of the idea occurred last week on a flight to Washington to attend the Satellite 2011 Convention. Prank development consultants Mark Shadbolt and Donna Palumbo were swiftly drafted in to provide specialist expertise in the implementation and deployment of the project. The operation involved deception, subterfuge, coercion and a whole lot of pink coloured vinyl wrap. We are absolutely delighted with the results and hope to raise a good amount of money for Comic Relief.”

Staff gathered outside the SIS LIVE offices in Langley at 0900 hours on Friday March 18th, cameras poised, fingers at the ready…
