During the COVID-19 outbreak, St John is actively supporting ambulance services, hospitals and communities to protect life and health through this worrying and uncertain period.

Story

Help us ease the strain during the COVID-19 outbreak. Our dedicated St John Ambulance volunteers are standing by to relieve pressure on our NHS by boosting the health response in communities across the country

St John Ambulance is ramping up its operations to meet the demands of the NHS and communities in a way not seen since World War Two, to meet the challenge of the COVID-19 crisis.

The charitys ambulances and highly trained crews are being put at the health services disposal, plus the deployment of St John volunteers to hospital emergency departments is underway.

Our volunteers are relieving pressure on our NHS by boosting the health response in communities across the country, including during the outbreak of COVID-19. The need for our work has never been more relevant or urgent than now.

Our ambulances are available around the country to provide support. However, the specialist medical equipment that our volunteers use has a limited lifespan and needs replacing regularly.
