Story
It was in 2012 that I saw the London marathon live. It was a thrilling experience seeing such passion and energy in all participants. Since then, I started contemplating to participate in the marathon someday. Running has been a part of life since my younger days and I was sure that nothing would give me more joy than being able to complete the London Marathon. However since 2012, life took over and I moved away from this passion. Last year in the summer, I decided to focus on achieving my ambitions and do everything possible to complete the London Marathon. I started preparing and I started with small races such as park run etc. The sense of achievement I felt after completing my first half Marathon in Jan 2020 brought back all those memories and sense of pride, and the subsequent half Marathons further added to it. The unfortunate COVID scenario has not made it possible to run any major race let alone the real 2020 London Marathon (and have the grand experience of a real full Marathon). I have been running a lot of virtual marathons such as 90 Miles ‘Virtual Running’ challenge in March 2020, 100 Miles virtual running Challenge in April 2020 and 125 Miles Virtual Running Challenge in June 2020. I have also completed 3 Half Marathons. Now I hope to complete my first full marathon in 2020. Wish me luck…
