SarcoidosisUK is a tiny charity that exists to provide support and information for people with sarcoidosis, and to fund research into a cure for the condition. It is currently the among the world’s largest sarcoidosis research funders, and is passionate about helping to find a cure. October 2017 I was admitted in to hospital, with inflammation in my Brain, lower back, eyes,skin and chest (lungs /Lymph nodes) after 6weeks I was diagnosed with Neurosarcoidosis 

Many of you would know, my treatment has been high steroids for 16months, oral chemotherapy drugs to intravenous chemotherapy for the last 6 months... with my last cycle number 8 at the end of April... we currently do not have a clear plan as the Medication isn’t currently working. 

What is Sarcoidosis?

•Around one in 10,000 people in the uk suffer from Sarcoidosis and only about 10-15% will have neurological involvement

•No known cause or Cure

•Symptoms depends on organ affected •Fatal in 5% of cases - usually cardiac and neurological involvement 

There is currently no cure, but the amazing team at SarcoidosisUK are always at hand to offer support and information to anyone affected by the disease. They receive no government support and rely on fundraising.

£500 could fund a SarcoidosisUK support group for 18 months

The thought of running walking 5k is daunting.. when I was in hospital I become paralysed. And it’s been hard work to get back to some sort of normal.
