Story

Masjid & Madrasah Sadaqah Jariyah Project for Mawlana Muhammad Deedat Sahib (1380/1960 - 1439/2018)

“Muḥammad Dīdāt is ʿAllāmat al-Kutub (master of books), he has fallen ill, it is difficult to find such people, people will recognise his worth after he passes away.” (Shaykh Muhammad Yunus Jownpuri)

"Mawlana Muhammad Deedat had a very close attachment with the Qur'an. He would collect me from Blackburn for many years and drive me to Darul Uloom Bury. He would recite the Qur'an on the way. I am indebted to him. Whenever I required a book or a reference, he would be my first point of call. He had a lot of Sabr. Whenever I visited him over the past decade and asked about his health, he would say: al-Hamdulillah." (Mufti Shabbir Ahmed)

"I saw Mufti Muhammad Taqi Uthmani on three separate occasions in recent years kiss the forehead of Mawlana Muhammad Deedat." (Yusuf Shabbir)

As Sadaqah is one of the most effective methods to benefit the deceased, we are launching a Sadaqah Jariyah project to build a Masjid & Madrasah in the name of Mawlana Muhammad Deedat in Malawi, Africa, which is one of the poorest countries in the world. The total cost of the project is £18,000. The Masjid will cater for 150 people and will be approximately 12m x 10m in size. There will also be a 7m x 6m residence for the Imam.

In addition to this, the Project includes a stand alone small Madrasah building 12m x 7m. This will ensure that the children in the locality receive Islamic education and their faith is safeguarded. It will also connect the children with the Qur'an, with which Mawlana Marhoom was closely attached.

A similar project was successfully implemented for our Mawlana Umarji Sahib Rahimahullah in Bangladesh in 2014, details of which are visible on this link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r7W9JvRPdMQ

We request all readers to contribute Lillah donations and be part of this good cause.

Donations in cash form can also be forwarded to Mawlana Hammad Deedat or sent to us. For direct bank transfers, please visit the UWT website.
