Story
I'm getting active this May and taking action to change the lives of young trans people across the UK.
I'm challenging myself to get active for one very important reason. To help ensure trans young people and their families can continue to access the emotional, informative, and peer-to-peer support they deserve.
Mermaids' vision is a safe, inclusive society where trans young people are empowered to live their best lives.
Mermaids say: Our amazing supporters are the reason we’re able to keep helping the trans community, year after year. So this May, we’re asking you to get active with your fundraising by taking on Miles for Mermaids.
Sage Says: The work mermaids do is so important, especially right now when there's so many people trying to get in the way of trans people living and thriving. No child should ever feel alone. That's why I've chosen to do Miles for mermaids to help the team at mermaids continue to do what they do.
Someone very special to me (iykyk) works for them and does such an amazing job and I know how rough and difficult it can be. And Mermaids have received so much hate and resistance and yet the entire team at mermaids have continued and endured and they are so amazing for that.
Please help me raise as much money as possible. The goal is £150 for me to do 50 miles of walking throughout May. I've never done anything like this before. I aim to walk at least 2 miles a day at least 5 days a week every week in the month of May for miles for mermaids. Anything you can give will be amazing and go towards making a huge difference in the help our trans children and their families will receive.
