Story
Hello there!
In October 2019, I will attempt to climb to the summit of 'The Roof of Africa' Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania - Africa's highest free standing dormant volcano at 5,895 metres at altitude over an 8 day climb with Kandoo Adventures to help me out!
This will be my most toughest physical and mental challenge of my life and hopefully will be a great adventure on returning to Africa! but along the way I would like to use this epic challenge to raise awareness and some funds for sufferers of M.E or 'Chronic Fatigue Syndrome' an debilitating and presently incurable illness affecting the nervous and immune system that my twin sister has suffered from for over 10 years robbing her of energy to live a normal functioning life.
M.E affects roughly 250,000 people in the UK and around 17 million people worldwide and has been widely misunderstood by ignorant comments from society, the medical profession and in the media which has left many sufferers who are having to live with this illness feel neglected and humiliated.
So, I am training hard over 6 - 7 months and going to use all my energy for not only to rise to the thrill of the Kili challenge but to aid those who have no energy and welcome any fabulous donations for my climb to give to Action For M.E a charity tackling ignorance, injustice and neglect for people who's lives have been stolen by M.E and to fund more research.
I have a fund target of £500.00 and if you'd like to please donate to support M.E sufferers, it will maybe make my pain a little better whilst I'm up there! Your donation will go straight to Action For M.E and you'll have a great karma coming your way!
Thank you very much and I plan to write a blog about the whole journey whatever lies ahead!
But I will try my best, that's all you can do and have a great adventure at the same time :)
Love with great gratitude for your awesomeness
