Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.  I am dedicating this trek to Derek Howard, a dear friend you tragically died recently after being diagnosed with cancer.

I am hoping to raise a lot of money for Macmillan who are a wonderfully supportive charity that has helped me and many others throughout our cancer journeys.

I am completing this trek to demonstrate to people that it is possible to fight cancer, to come out the other side and still live a full and rewarding life.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2012 and have undergone a great deal of treatment which has adversely affected my fitness levels, so trekking up to 16km a day carrying all of our equipment and supplies is going to be a tremendous challenge.  However, it will no doubt be a great experience.
