Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Those that know me, know I'm fairly measured and considered, well most of the time at least.  However in a moment of what now feels like sheer madness, I signed up for this amazing challenge to trek 50km over the Great Wall of China in aid of Grief Encounter, from 12-20 October 2019.  

Ignoring the beautiful scenery along the way, the challenge for me will be more than just the stamina and fitness required to walk up to 5-8 hours a day, but more worryingly the rather steep heights (and drops!) on some of the more precarious parts of the climb. 

It's a fantastic challenge, so I'm taking the plunge (hopefully not literally!) in aid of Grief Encounter, a wonderful charity who do an amazing job supporting bereaved children and their families, and a charity very close to the Myers' family. Bereavement at any age is devastating, but for young children is unimaginable. Grief Encounter is there to help and be the lifeline of support for so many families in UK affected by such tragedy.  

All money you donate to my trek challenge will go to Grief Encounter, so please give what you can, however small.
