Story
I am walking in the name of Iris, my mum. Iris died in 2022, just months after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Afterwards, I became a trustee of Ovarian Cancer Action, so that something positive could come out of such a difficult time.
I have upped my challenge to walking 100 miles in March, rather than 100km, as this is not my first rodeo/walk 😊. This will be stretching as March is very busy for me.
OCA funds research into screening, earlier diagnosis and improved treatments. It also raises awareness of ovarian cancer risk factors and symptoms. OCA packs a large punch at this horrible disease, working for a time when survival rates vastly improve.
Any donation, no matter how small, helps prevent more women repeating mum’s experience. Thank you so much for your support and to any hardy soles who join me in their 🥾for a walk.
