Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year my friend and colleague Stuart Cock decide to undertake 42 challenges at the age of 42, to raise money for Prospect Hospice and The Lewis Moody Foundation. Since starting these challenges, Stuart himself has become ill and is currently undergoing treatment for bowel cancer. A group of his colleagues and I have decided to carry out the remaining challenges in his name.

Here is Stu's story...

I have been touched by the good work that the Prospect Hospice (they looked after my Nan, my Dad and couple of friends over the years in their last months and weeks) and the Lewis Moody Foundation have done for friends of mine in recent years and want to give something back. Doing 1 run or bike ride or some other insane thing didn’t seem enough, so I have decided that I will take 42 challenges for the year that I am 42. The list of challenges contain numerous runs, alcohol and chocolate free months, climbing/walking mountains….. and a ballet dance…..

I’m actually starting on the 1st day of November for reasons of simplicity, November’s challenges are: Cropping my hair, Runvember (running every day even if a short distance), Movember, loosing half a stone in a month, 1 10Km run, score a try in a rugby match. Full list is below.
The list is not fixed and may change based on injuries or other issues outside of my control.
The target? £4242.42 minimum….. see what I did there?

42 at 42 ...... 42 challenges whilst I'm 42! Well, actually I'm starting on the 1st of November and not my 42nd birthday on the 15th for simplicity.
