Story
I am running the London Marathon on the 23rd April 2023 in memory of my Grandpa Michael who sadly passed away in June 2022. Michael was a larger than life character and is greatly missed by our family and everyone that knew him.
In his memory I will be raising money for the British Heart Foundation. BHF are a charity with a vision for a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases, raising almost £100m each year for vital research to be undertaken into Heart Disease, Stroke, Vascular Dementia, and Diabetes (to name a few). The work that they do ultimately aims to give people more time with the ones they love. You can find out more about BHF by following the link below.

Despite having a heart attack at the age of 35, and subsequent heart bypass surgery in his 60's, Grandpa still managed to live a happy and healthy life well into his 80's. Through the work and research that charities like BHF undertake into heart disease, there is no doubt that he was provided with the correct treatment and therefore given the best chance of living his life to the fullest and longest. By raising funds for BHF I take great pride in the fact that other individuals and families will be getting the help they need to be able to have more time with their loved ones who may suffer from such diseases.
Thank you for your support and any donations that you can make towards my target would be massively appreciated. If you want to keep track of my training up to the big day, please see the link below to my Strava account where I'll be posting updates throughout.
