Samantha's LPS are running to Reverse Rett

LPS are running to Reverse Rett · 9 December 2015
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and our team fundraising page. We've joined together to raise money for Reverse Rett. We are Alison, Angela, Barry, Louisa, Lynda, Sam, Steve and Ruth, and are members of LPSRC; the running community of Loose Primary School, Maidstone, Kent. We meet every Sunday morning and weave our way (often bleary eyed) through the footpaths and side roads of our beautiful village.
From 1st January we will be significantly raising our game to raise funds and awareness for the charity Reverse Rett, by each of us running 5km every day in January, and allowing for inclement weather we will give ourselves an additional 5 days, meaning the challenge will be completed on or before 5th February 2016.
Our friend Isidora has Rett, Isi is 16, she cannot walk or talk and is 100% reliant on her parents for every element of her wellbeing. She is otherwise a typical teenager who likes music, scary films and having her hair braided. She can communicate, she likes shopping, she abuses her older brother and can spell words on a keyboard, despite never having said them. Like many Rett children Isi is intelligent and bright but trapped in her body by Rett.
In 2007 this illness was reversed in the laboratories, so there is hope for a cure.
It would be brilliant if you would sponsor our team in this challenge; every £1 is appreciated. On behalf of the wonderful Isi, thank you x
